How I learnt to design with Figma in just a day

Figma

I have always thought that I’m poor at UI/UX design. I do some menial graphics with CorelDraw, Adobe Illustrator, MS Word et al but the day I encountered figma, my life never remained the same. So far figma is the best design tool though with data consumption as a drawback. It is user friendly, flexible and interactive with lots of features.

I would say I’m one of the luckiest to have registered with hotels.ng for internship. One of the tasks given at the first stage was to create a figma account. By the way I had no idea of figma. One of the stages’ tasks was to design the UI of the mobile android app that each intern built.

At the very first time I started using figma, I designed my android app UI. It all begun like a joke but it became nice. When I thought I had designed something good, I learnt that the instruction given by the CEO of hotels.ng, Mark Essien was to design a better version of the android app UI. Hmm…I had to re-design a new UI.

Yay!!! I came up with an awesome design and it was accepted once.

If you think you are not good at a skill, give it a trial. It does not harm to lay hold of a skill and get the best out of it.

Thanks to Mark Essien for the enlightment so far in the HNG Internship program, shout out to figma for the outstanding resource.

I strongly recommend figma to UI/UX designers, it is simple to use!
